The case study focuses on Darlington Borough Council's street lighting refurbishment project, which aimed to replace outdated SON lamps with energy-efficient LED solutions. The primary objectives were to enhance energy efficiency, reduce CO₂ emissions, and minimize ongoing maintenance costs. The project was implemented in phases, targeting major roads first and then extending to residential areas.
